I’m a Licensed Realtor in Philadelphia PA and have assisted many buyers and sellers with there real estate transactions. I’m also an ABR agent (Accredited Buyer Representation) which means that I’ve been given training to learn how to work with buyers. In my 11 years as a Realtor, I’ve learned 5 valuable tips that I want to share with prospecitve consumers of real estate to help them in working with a Realtor and making the process easier and smoother for all parties. For years, many consumers of real estate had a difficult time establishing a relationship with a real estate agent. Here are a few tips on how to do that.
1. Make an appointment to meet your prospective realtor in his/her office. By sitting down and having a conversation with your prospective realtor, you can get a better idea on how they work as well as an opportunity to express your own personal needs and exepectations.
2. Pull your credit report before you contact a lender. By pulling your credit report before your lender does will allow you the opportunity to review your credit report and clean up any issues that you may have before you try and get pre-approved. Bring your preapproval to your first meeting with your new Realtor
3. Establish a level of trust with your new realtor by being on time for your appointments with them. This will show your motivation to get the job done and help to get the best out of your Realtor.
4. Be truthfully and honest with your Realtor. Feel comfortable with sharing your information with your Realtor. By establishing a contractual relationship with a Realtor helps to establish a fiduciary realtionship allowing you to get the most out of your new Realtor.
5. At the end of a positive real estate transaction, share your experience with friends and neighbors. This will help to establish a continued long term relationship with your new Realtor.
